The hugely-popular VMA’s are back again and this time around hip hop acts will be holding it down for the genre. Acts that are confirmed to perform include Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Drake and Kanye West, who if your memory serves you well made that infamous rant during Taylor Swift’s performance at the same awards exactly a year ago! This year’s awards will air on 12 September on MTV.

STR CRD is an upcoming event that is set to elevate South African street cutlure. The event, which is set to take place on the 23rd of September, is aimed at showcasing the best international and local urban street culture with an emphasis being placed on the rising sneaker phenomenon.
Initially inspired by international sneaker swop conventions and such, the event will not only features that component, but will also feature live acts, customized sneaker exhibitions, a pop up retail village. The event will also be supported by international guests such as Bobbito Garcia, Alex Nash and Shuchef.
Head Honcho will be debuting its Summer 2010 range at STR CRD so be sure to check it out. We’ll keep you updated on it.

TYGA, one of Young Money’s crew members, has made his way to South Africa. Lil’ Wayne’s protege will be starting his SA tour with a show in Joburg at Club Premium on Friday. Thereafter, he’ll make his way to Cape Town for what’s set to be a crazy show at Club 91 in Claremont on SATURDAY.
The Head Honcho fam will be up in there so y’all best come through. Doors Open at 9pm.

Collaboration Launch 2009 from Head Honcho on Vimeo.
Last year sometime we embarked on an interesting project that saw us collaborating with IV League (production trio), Teboho Mahlatsi (Acclaimed TV director) and DJ Milkshake.
The result was an awesome of range of tees that were inspired by these legendary guys. We launched the tees at SHESHA and Joburg’s cool kids came out to play. Check out the video.
