DIARY OF AN INTERN: WEEK 3

Myself, Keitu & Zwe (fellow Honcholinas)

It’s week three and I’m still enjoying myself in Honcho Land. My work week only started on Wednesday because of other commitments. It was a bit of a frantic start though because technology was giving quiet the uphill battle. My apologies about the late blog last week. But we’re up and running again.

Arriving to an office with three boys with green bottles in their hands set the pace for this week. This gives me the opportunity to introduce myself to you guys. My name is Lungelwa and I am the official Head Honcho intern. Brief bio: I’m a marketing communications student based in Cape Town and an official Honcholina. Being a varsity student leaves me with so much free time so I started getting restless. Straight chillin’ was becoming mundane and I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was bursting with potential yet doing nothing about. School just wasn’t enough and when I was introduced to the Head Honcho ethos “Shun Mediocrity, Live Progressively,” I was inspired.

I love fashion and when it is combined with a purpose that encompasses a way of life that strives for the pinnacle of possibility and potential, I’m sold! And that is what Head Honcho represents for me.

After having a bevy of girls popping in to shop at the HQ, the team ended the week watching the sunset from the beautiful Clifton 3rd beach, drink in hand of course. Nothing is more inspiring than being surrounded by the landscape of the Mother City. Today we watch and dream, tomorrow we wake up and we make that vision a reality!

Next week sees a new project that’s going to get you all begging for more! Big things are going on this year as we STAY FRESH and GET that MONEY! Durban, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth….. Watch this space. Honcho is coming for you. The mundane stops here!

Shun Mediocrity. Live Progressively. Always.
