The Honcho fam is known for throwing some of the best club parties in the city and for partying up a storm every way we go. This month we decided to switch it up a bit .. We hit up the infamous Rocking the Daisies festival courtesy of our good friends at FISH EAGLE BRANDY.

The annual festival takes place at the picturesque Cloof Wine Estate in Darling. Located approximately 45 minutes out of Cape Town, it presents bourgeois urban dwellers with the opportunity to wild out without worrying about their image … Yep, I said it!

To fully enjoy this festival it is imperative that you camp over the weekend. We stayed in fairly comfortable tents that came equipped with two portable single beds, lights and a drawer … And did I mention that we all had access to a hot shower at anytime of the day. Not bad for the bundus!

We spent Saturday morning and afternoon chilling at comedian Thomas Gumede’s tent … We spent the whole day sipping, smoking  and listening to Thomas’ re-inaction of General Bheki Cele’s “Shurrrup” rant. Much fun was had.

But funny conversations were not the main reason we descended on this small wine estate … This was a music festival after all. Later on in the evening when the weather cooled down we headed over to the main stage and caught some ill performances from Lock, Tumi & the Volume, Prime Circle, Jack Parrow et al.

We did all of this while chilling in the comfortable Eagle Air VIP Lounge where we sipped on Fish Eagle the whole night .. What more can city boys like us ask for?
