29 December 2011 … Head Honcho made history. Our 3rd Bday Bash was insaaaaane. People talk about shutting a city down with their parties but we really did it. Our bash caused a hectic traffic jam coming into the  V&A Waterfront … We had a queue with hundreds of people as early as 10:30pm.

More than 1200 revelers partied and celebrated with us. We’re grateful for the love that y’all showed us. Much love to our sponsors Power Play, Miller Genuine Draft, the venue Casablanca and all the DJ’s that killed it on the evening. Special shout out to MiCASA and AKA for giving performances of their lives.

The freshest streetwear brand in the land is now 3 years old … We look forward to seeing even more people at the 4th Bday Bash.

December 29 is one day that a thousand or so people will not forget anytime soon …

HALALA … Our boy AKA is on a roll. The kid beat out Zahara and scooped the most awards at the Metro FM Music Awards this past Saturday …. A total of 3. AKA’s loyal fans voted incessantly over the past couple of weeks and ensure that he came out on top.

The 3 awards that he won were for Best Newcomer, Best Produced Album and Best Hip Hop Album. This comes on the heels of the Most Gifted Hip Hop awards that he scooped at the Channel O Music Awards 2 weeks ago.

Don’t say we didn’t tell you two years ago that homie was the future of South African hip hop. Congrats to Kiernan Forbes and the Showlove Music team for a stunning year.

Saturday, 27 August 2011 will be forever etched in a lot of people’s minds. On that day we made history and hosted the first SA launch for AKA’s classic debut album “ALTAR EGO”. As per usual, our Cape Town fam came in droves and showed AKA serious amount of love.
