Beyonce is without a shadow of doubt the hardest-working person in the entertainment business. All the proof you need is her bank balance. According to Forbes magazine,  the sultry songstress and actress is on track to rake in a cool $87 million (R780 million) by the end of the year – clearly the word ‘recession’ doesn’t exist in her diction. This will come from proceeds of her chart-topping I Am Sasha Fierce album, her 110-city tour, acting and performance fees, endorsement deals and profits from her House of Dereon clothing brand. Her work ethic is captured in her own poignant words, “I’ve never met anyone who works harder than me in my industry”. True that!

50 Cent is probably the most hated on dude in hip hop; granted he plays a large role in the way people feel about him what with all the beef-starting (Ja Rule, Fat Joe), shots-taking (Lil Wayne, Kanye West) and for many other unnecessary ’sins’. However, if there’s one thing that no one can front on is that the guy is a hustler…. nah forget that: he’s your favourite hustler’s favourite hustler!!

Forbes, a magazine that never even mentioned rappers a scant 5 years ago, has recently named 50 Cent as the second highest-paid African American entertainer Stateside. Say what? Yeah, you read correctly! The hip hop bully raked in $150 million (+/- R1.5 billion) from June 2007 – July 2008. The rapper who was not so long ago broke and bullet-ridden in Queensbridge, was only topped by the Queen of Talk Oprah Winfrey. She pulled in a staggering $275 million (+/- R2.75 billlion)! Damn Honchos these figures only say one thing: LETS HUSTLE HARD AND GET THIS PAPER!!!! Amen.
