I love sneakers. As far as I can remember, my love for sneakers stems from the years when I was deprived from obtaining the cool material things that I wanted as a kid due to my under-privileged background.

Fast-forward a couple years and a dude can finally afford to purchase some of the flyest sneakers in the world.

As a rapper that has toured internationally I have been exposes to the best street-culture. One of my highlights in my time of collecting sneakers was when I had to camp outside Berlin’s famous sneaker shop called ‘SoleBox’ while I was on tour to cop the ILL Nike Blazers.

My boy German-based boy Mustafa Maluka, who also happens to a sneaker aficionado of note, put me onto these fly Blazers and I just had to get them. He actually convinced me to get there by 2:00am at least so I can catch the line on time since there were only 11 pairs of them in Europe alone. I borrowed a camping chair from him, posted up on the side of the street and watched episodes of Boondocks until the shop opened at 12:00pm. Safe to say I was ecstatic when I got my hands on those babies.

So it was a dream come true when Nike SA hit us up and offered to be our official sneaker supplier. I could have never imagined my favourite sneaker brand would actually give us fly kicks to rock on the regular.

Nike Air Fly Tops

These are my favourite ones; they’re called Nike Air Fly Tops. Nike hooked me up with these on the day of our performance at the Hype Magazine Awards which took place at Gold Reef City in 2010.

Nike Blazers

The infamous Nike Blazers; I call them ‘Smarties’. Slept outside the shop for 10 hours for these mofokas!

I actually started digging these joints after I noticed how much my boys envied them .. Every time they come to my spot they’re always beg me to lace them.

Louis Vuitton x Kanye West

That’s that ‘Kanye West’ Louis Vuitton range.  Couldn’t pay rent for about 2 months after I got this by the way.
